Patrick Neeman is a recovering print designer that has over two decades of experience transforming digital experiences, starting with the first website he designed, the Oliver North home page. Known for his approachable style, Patrick has carved out a niche in the world of user experience as a straightforward truthsayer through his insightful teachings, practical methodologies, and a knack for making complex concepts accessible and understandable.

With a career in high-profile roles working in mostly enterprise environments including financial spend, human capital management and contract intelligence, Patrick is a Director of UX at Workday, and has led UX teams for over 15 years at Evisort, Knowable, Icertis, Apptio and Jobvite and in roles ranging from Director to Vice President. His ability to blend user research, interaction design, and business strategy has consistently resulted in increased engagement, and the occasional successful exit for the business.

As a speaker and educator, he has taught countless designers through workshops, conferences, General Assembly courses and his popular blog, Usability Counts. His passion for teaching is evident in his ability to simplify user experience principles and provide easy to understand approaches that designers can immediately apply to their projects, which was one of the driving factors for this book.
